How do I set up a broadcast group as a member of a hunt group?
When calls go to our Customer Service group, we use a hunt group to try to find somebody in Customer Service. If this approach doesn't find anybody, we want to ring all phones to ensure the call is answered. How do I set up a broadcast group as a member of a hunt group?
You can do this indirectly using call coverage.
If you want the Broadcast Group to be the last member of the Hunt group, follow these steps:
- You must have a Broadcast Group created and ready to be used. Please refer to the Administrator Referrence Guide for instructions on how to create a Braodcast Group
- Turn on the Hunt Group's call coverage.
- Enter the Broadcast Group extension in the "Another number" field.
- Select Save.
If you want the Broadcast Group to be the first member of the Hunt group, follow these steps:
- You must have a Broadcast Group created and ready to be used. Please refer to the Administrator Referrence Guide instructions on how to create a Braodcast Group
- Turn on the Broadcast Group's call coverage.
- Enter the Hunt Group extension in the Another number field.
- Select Save.
