| If this is not what is displayed on your phone, return to Troubleshooting your Phone. |
The phone is in a normal transitory state waiting for a response from the network. If the phone remains in this state for more than a few minutes, then consider the following possible reasons:
- The phone may have lost its network connection. Check the LAN connection to the back of the phone and check if other devices connected in at that point in the LAN have connectivity. If this is the problem, fix the network connection.
- The network may have lost its connection to UniVoIP's DHCP server due to Wide Area Network (WAN) outage. Check if other phones are having similar problems. If this is the case, contact UniVoIP's Technical Support team.
- The DHCP server may have run out of IP addresses to allocate to phones in your company. In this case, phones that are already connected will not experience any difficulties, but any new phones that connect up will not receive an IP address. If this is the case, contact UniVoIP's Technical Support department.
