Why does my line go dead before connecting to the other party?
There are 4 possible causes to your problem:
- There may be a problem with your handset or hook switch. Make sure that your handset cable is tightly connected at both the handset end and at the phone end (the cable should be plugged in the phone into the connector depicting a handset). Make sure that as you lift the handset, the hook switch is in the up position. If not, contact the support team to have your phone repaired.
- You may have inadvertently terminated the call. Retry the call.
- You may not have dialed all the digits to make the call. The system is expecting more numbers to complete the call. Make sure that the number you have dialed is complete.
- There may have been a loss of communication between the set and the server. You may want to wait a bit and try again; if the problem persists, contact UniVoIP's Technical Suppoprt team.
